Westcove House, The Stables and Garden Cottage are three unique period properties, full of character set in the same grounds overlooking the beautiful Kenmare estuary in Co. Kerry. Georgian, Westcove House comfortably sleeps 10 while the converted Stables and wonderfully restored Garden Cottage sleep 11 and 5 respectively. Together all three properties are ideal for reunions, get-togethers and celebrations of special occasions. The elegant dining room in Westcove House, overlooking the waters of Westcove harbour, comfortably seats 18 (maximum 26) and various delicious catering options can be provided. Live music/dancing can be arranged for guests in our games room which adjoins The Stables but is also accessible from the outside.
The games room is also ideal for holding talks, classes, activities and demonstrations for a wide variety of interest groups. Art groups delight in our north-facing studio, while walking groups can revive weary muscles in our sauna after a day's rambling. Golf courses in our area are among the best in the world and within an hours drive you will find several top class facilities making Westcove also an ideal base for golfers.
Pier Cottage – see details below – is a pair of converted, coastguard cottages sleeping 2 – 11 stunningly situated right by the water's edge. Although we do occasionally let it as additional accommodation to the Westcove properties described above, it is 5 to 10 minutes walk away and is mostly let out, totally separately, as an idyllic self-catering retreat.

A Note From The Owner … We are delighted that you are considering a visit to this beautiful part of Ireland and hope that we can persuade you to stay at one or more of our properties, here at Westcove. My name is Susannah Adlington and I am a portrait artist living in Hampshire, England with my husband Michael. Although my father's family have had Irish connections for several hundred years, my parents only bought Westcove House in the early 60s … since then four generations of our family have been enjoying holidays here – we just love the place and feel sure that you would too. Indeed many of our guests return to Westcove time and time again – something which we view as the highest form of praise!
We have spent many years upgrading and improving Westcove House, and renovating the Stables, Garden Cottage and Pier Cottage whilst retaining their character and charm. The income we receive from renting out our properties at Westcove, helps with the ever-increasing costs involved with the upkeep of period properties, whilst hopefully enabling us to share this much loved, unique and magical place with others for many more generations to come.
We are aware that you, our visitors, will all have different requirements and interests, so we try to be as flexible as possible to ensure your stay at Westcove surpasses all your expectations.
Michael and Katherine Casey, whose families have always lived in this beautiful part of Ireland, have looked after every aspect of our Westcove properties for many years …. Should you decide to stay here, they will be on hand to help in any way required. Katherine is an excellent cook – for catering options please see details for individual houses.
If you have any questions not answered on the website or would like to know more about any aspect of the properties or the area, I would be more than happy to telephone you for a chat as I have an unlimited call facility worldwide! |
