We have three period properties at Westcove - an area 1 mile west of Castlecove, 3 miles east of Caherdaniel, overlooking the beautiful Kenmare Estuary, just off the famous 'Ring of Kerry', one of the most scenic drives in Ireland, one hour south of Killarney, with its magnificent lakes.
There are numerous possible excursions:- north to Killarney with its famous lakes, northwest to the legendary Dingle Peninsular, west to Waterville, Balliskellings and Valencia Island, from where you can take an unforgettable boat trip to the Skelligs.
To the south lies Bantry Bay, which is reached via spectacular mountain passes. Kerry and West Cork are dotted with wonderful tropical gardens, especially beautiful in May and June.
The countryside immediately surrounding Castlecove is ideally suited for all types of walking, ranging from gentle strolls along lovely sandy beaches to more serious hikes over craggy hills. The famous 'Kerry Way' walk takes you along the ridge of hills, all the way from Waterville to Kenmare and is well sign posted, but still wonderfully unspoiled. |

Westcove House is a Georgian Manor House, sleeping up to 10 with 5 shower/bath rooms. Weekly rentals are available from €2,500 to include electricity, gas and daily cleaning. The Stables is situated in the grounds of Westcove House and sleeps up to 11, also with sea views, but more suitable for self catering and young children, with 3 bath / shower rooms, (not ensuite). Weekly rentals start at €1,250 to include electricity and gas. The Stables provide an ideal annex to Westcove House – perfect for family re-unions, golf groups etc. (Daily cleaning is included only when rented with Westcove House but is available at extra cost, as is cooking, when rented separately.) Pier Cottage consists of an adjoining pair of stone coastguard cottages renovated to a high standard 20 metres from its own shingle beach from which you can sit and watch the seals. It can be rented throughout the year as two totally independent units, or as one interconnecting cottage sleeping up to 11. ( West End up to 7, East End up to 4).
